Role Summary Help run day-to-day Product Development operations by organizing projects, controlling documentation (SOP/AVL), coordinating samples and tests, keeping specifications and IES/SPD libraries current, and maintaining schedules. This role acts as the central coordinator for the Product Development team, keeping projects, documents, and vendors aligned so work moves forward smoothly. The role also includes basic DMX/SPI lighting control support such as addressing fixtures and creating simple scenes. Core Responsibilities Project CoordinationMaintain Product Development schedules, risk/action logs, and decision logs; prepare weekly status updates. Book photometry and safety tests; track ETAs for samples, tooling, and lab reports. Own meeting notes and follow-ups with vendors, labs, and internal teams. Document ControlMaintain Approved Vendor Lists (AVLs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), drawing packs, labels/markings, and packaging specifications. Track and update Engineering Change Orders (ECOs); ensure the latest revisions are saved and shared in the correct folders or PLM system. Manage IES and SPD libraries; version spec sheets and installation guides. Prepare and track sample and tooling purchase orders with Sourcing; receive, photograph, and log results. Run pre-lab sanity checks including power draw, basic lumen/efficacy calculations, and wiring checks. Assemble first-article bundles including photos, measurements, and reports. Assist with building and assembling prototypes, including wiring, labeling, and preparing samples for testing. Controls Systems SupportSet up and test DMX/RDM and SPI fixtures; verify polarity, termination, and grounding. Configure addressing, universes, and pixel maps; create basic scenes and sequences. Export show files and presets for controllers. Release & Launch SupportBuild release bundles including datasheets, IES files, certifications, and instructions for Sales and Marketing. Submit website or portal content requests and ensure traceable links to released revisions. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Technology, or a related field. Strong document control and written communication skills; ability to read basic technical drawings and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and basic formulas. Familiarity with DMX512/RDM addressing and SPI pixel systems, with the ability to create simple scenes. Nice to Have Experience with SOP processes and part numbering systems. Basic lighting knowledge including LM-79, TM-30, CRI/CCT, IES files, and UL/CSA standards. Hands-on comfort using small tools and measurement equipment such as calipers, multimeters, and IR thermometers. Tools You Will Use Excel or Google Sheets; SharePoint or Drive; PDF editor; CAD viewers such as eDrawings or DWG TrueView. Simple PLM system or disciplined folder and version-control structure. Power meter, multimeter, IR thermometer, and exposure to sphere or tunnel testing (training provided). Working Mode & Compensation Core hours are typically 8:30–5:00, with some flexibility for vendor and lab coordination across time zones.
