Additionally, the role involves supporting health and safety audit preparation to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesConduct plant-wide equipment criticality assessments to classify assets based on risk and operational impactPerform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on critical equipment, using tailored approaches for high-priority assets and standardized methods for othersAnalyze plant performance using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics to identify gaps and improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support the execution of reliability and continuous improvement initiativesAssist in preparing for Health and Safety audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal requirementsSupport waste management initiatives, including proper handling, reduction, and disposal in compliance with environmental standardsRequirements for SuccessBe eligible to work in Canada.Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.Be able to work on‑site in the province where you are hired if applicable.Pursuing studies in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.Familiarity with reliability tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and preventive maintenance strategies.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.Background Check and Clearance The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
