Our client in the non-profit sector is seeking a Director, Data & Insights to lead the organization’s enterprise data strategy, analytics capabilities, and insight-driven decision-making. This role will drive the evolution of the data ecosystem across CRM, marketing, fundraising, and digital platforms—enabling advanced analytics, improved donor insights, and data-informed growth strategies. Responsibilities Define and lead the enterprise Data & Insights strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to fundraising, digital, and organizational priorities. Partner with fundraising, marketing, finance, and operations leaders to translate business objectives into analytics use cases, KPIs, and performance frameworks. Drive the evolution from descriptive reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics, enabling improved donor targeting, segmentation, and campaign optimization. Deliver actionable insights to support fundraising growth, donor engagement, and operational efficiency. Establish enterprise analytics operating models, including intake, prioritization, data product lifecycle, and value realization. Provide strategic oversight of the enterprise data platform, including data warehouse/lakehouse environments, pipelines, and analytics tooling. Define and enforce data governance practices including data quality, stewardship, access controls, and standardization of metrics and definitions. Ensure alignment of data across CRM, marketing platforms, and digital channels to enable a unified view of supporter behavior and performance. Oversee integration and tracking across digital ecosystems, including web analytics, campaign tracking, and attribution frameworks. Lead reporting and analytics capabilities, including dashboarding and visualization platforms such as Power BI. Partner with CRM and marketing technology teams to support data requirements, migration readiness, and reporting continuity during platform transformation. Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making through stakeholder engagement, training, and enablement initiatives. Provide executive-level reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking. Manage relationships with external vendors and data/analytics partners. Lead and develop a high-performing data and analytics team, building capabilities across data engineering, analytics, governance, and insight generation. Requirements 8–10+ years of experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence roles, including leadership of enterprise data initiatives. Proven experience defining and delivering data strategies, analytics roadmaps, and insight-driven decision frameworks. Strong experience working with CRM and marketing ecosystems, including platforms such as Salesforce or similar donor/customer data environments. Experience with data platforms, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based data environments. Strong experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or similar. Experience developing advanced analytics capabilities (e.g., segmentation, predictive modeling, propensity scoring, experimentation frameworks) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of digital analytics, campaign measurement, and attribution across marketing channels. Experience establishing data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and enterprise reporting consistency. Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and translate complex data into actionable business insights. Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives (e.g., CRM modernization, data platform evolution, analytics enablement). Strong leadership and team development experience.
