Position Senior Specialist, Learning and Development (Contract: one-year, hybrid; based in Montreal or Toronto) Location 1000, Rue Papineau, Montreal, Quebec, H2K 0C2 Responsibilities Conduct training needs analysis and propose relevant and innovative solutions. Bring expertise and leadership to the design, adaptation, planning, and implementation phases of training activities. Plan evaluation strategies to ensure efficacy of initiatives and their effect on business activities. Solicit proposals from external providers, evaluate services, and make recommendations to clients. Ensure content is relevant and effective at all times, exploring new methodologies and joint learning opportunities. Analyze results and make recommendations to ensure quality and relevance of training initiatives, learning transfer, and maximum impact. Accompany and coach internal trainers in development and facilitation of courses. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, industrial relations, industrial psychology, or related field. Five (5) or more years of relevant experience assessing needs, developing learning tools and strategies, learning evaluation tools, blended learning solutions, etc. English/French bilingualism (spoken and written) essential. Extensive knowledge of assessing and gauging learning and developmental needs. Very good knowledge of facilitation techniques, both in person and virtually. Very good knowledge of adult learning principles. Experience with development of e-learning, videos, podcasts, and job-aids. Ability to keep up to date with training methodologies and best practices. Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build business relationships with clients. Strong teamwork and collaboration. Strong interest in continuous learning and growth mindset. Ability to work under tight deadlines in a rapidly shifting environment. Solid command of the Google suite. Hybrid work: 2 days in office required. Willingness to travel occasionally.
