Your Opportunity The Manager, National Assurance supports the development and maintenance of national technical guidance, training and practice tools to enable local offices to conduct engagements efficiently, effectively and in accordance with professional standards and Firm requirements. This is a replacement role. Key Responsibilities Technical Research & Consultation Support Research technical accounting and assurance matters using authoritative guidance and Firm resources. Draft responses to assurance consultations for review by senior members of the National Assurance team. Identify areas requiring escalation and involve appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner. Assurance Methodology & Practice Tools Support annual updates and ongoing maintenance of assurance and compilation tools and Firm guidance and manuals. Assess the impact of new and revised standards on assigned sections of Firm methodology. Assist in drafting and updating Firm policies relating to assurance engagements. Quality Management Support the Firm’s system of quality management. Contribute to the development and documentation of quality risks and responses. Training & Knowledge Sharing Assist in the design and delivery of assurance training programs for Partners and staff, including: Live instructor‑led sessions Web‑based learning Virtual instructor‑led training How do we define success for your role? Your Experience And Education A CPA designation and proficient knowledge of assurance standards in Canada. Minimum 3 years (post‑designation) of assurance experience in a public‑accounting firm. Effective time‑management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Possess a basic understanding of other standards, policies and procedures that interact with assurance, including quality‑management standards, accounting, risk‑management, independence, tax, etc. Compensation range: $76,000 – $126,000 annually.
