Pay: 41/hr CAD (30 USD) Job Description Brooksource is looking for a hands‑on, technical Business Analyst with a background in Java and DevOps environments. This person will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring business needs are clearly defined, technically understood, and successfully delivered. This role is ideal for someone who has previous development experience, understands how modern Java applications are built and deployed, and can confidently work alongside developers and DevOps teams. The expectation is ownership — from requirement discovery through delivery — not just documentation. Key Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document requirements Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows Work closely with Java development teams to clarify requirements, review solutions, and remove blockers Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployments, CI/CD processes, and release readiness Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews Support QA by clarifying requirements and validating delivered functionality Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and proactively drive solutions Own features end‑to‑end, from initial discovery through production delivery Required Skills Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an enterprise technology environment Strong understanding of Java‑based applications, APIs, and modern system architecture Prior hands‑on development experience or strong ability to read and discuss code Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (Jira, Confluence, etc.) Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD concepts and how software moves from development to production Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Nice to Have Experience with Spring / Spring Boot, microservices, or cloud environments Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Background in regulated or complex corporate environments Disclaimer Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
