Job Description As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer on our Energy team, you’ll join a powerhouse group of innovators, problem‑solvers, and world‑builders who thrive on tackling complex challenges across renewable energy, power generation, and energy‑modernization projects. You will be at the forefront of technical work, collaborating with various disciplines to ensure we meet our mechanical engineering goals. You will support multiple types of clients—including Independent Power Producers, Municipal Electric Utilities, Investor‑Owned Utilities, Contractors, and Developers—addressing their challenges and implementing power grid systems of the future.This position can be located in any of our Canadian offices, with preference for BC and AB.Your ImpactDesign mechanical piping and equipment for power generation facilitiesPrepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluationsReview mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data; interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers/designersEnsure effective communication with other engineering disciplinesPrepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systemsParticipate in the development of PFDs and P&IDsPerform piping design activities, including sizing, pressure‑drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support designMentor and guide less‑experienced engineersThe Skills That Set You ApartUniversity Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering6 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience within the EPCM environment, focusing on Power Generation projectsCurrently licensed professional engineer (P.Eng, Ing, PE) in your province of practiceExperience within the consulting environment desiredWorking knowledge of Microstation or AutoCADWorking knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworxExperience using Caesar II or AutoPipeExperience using ThermoflowCompensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900 MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,900 – $83,800The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
