The Opportunity Reporting to the Director, Innovation and Technology Enablement, this role is responsible for the hands‑on development of a resident engagement application prototype using modern AI‑assisted and rapid development tools. The objective is to validate a scalable product concept through iterative delivery. Approximately 90 % of the role is focused on prototype development, while 10 % supports administration and enhancement of an existing platform.Key Accountabilities Prototype Development (Primary – ~90%)Design, build, and iterate a resident engagement application prototypeLeverage AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Replit)Develop UI, workflows, and integrationsIterate rapidly based on stakeholder and user feedbackSolution Design & Technical DirectionRecommend tools and frameworks for rapid developmentBalance speed with maintainability and securityPrepare prototype for enterprise scalabilityTesting, Validation & IterationTest application features and workflowsIdentify defects and usability improvementsSupport pilot deployments and feedback sessionsPlatform Administration (Secondary – ~10%)Support administration of an existing platformTroubleshoot issues and implement minor enhancementsWork with vendors and stakeholders to maintain stabilityDocumentation & Knowledge SharingDocument architecture, workflows, and design decisionsMaintain development notes and technical documentationSupport transition planning to enterprise‑scale buildQualifications EducationDegree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldEquivalent practical experience will be consideredExperienceExperience developing web or mobile applicationsExperience with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Replit)Experience with APIs and cloud services is an assetSkills & AbilitiesStrong hands‑on development skillsAbility to translate ideas into working solutionsCuriosity and comfort with emerging toolsStrong problem‑solving abilityClear written and verbal communication skillsEffort & Working ConditionsWork requires sustained mental effort to design, build, and iterate solutions under evolving requirements and short timelines.Work is performed in a hybrid office environment.
