Key Responsibilities Review and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications Prepare detailed cost estimates , takeoffs, and construction schedules Support the Estimating Team during bid preparation and review Track project costs, budgets, and financial reporting Establish and maintain project cost codes Support field teams with construction planning, procedures, and best practices Assist with subcontractor coordination, documentation, and reporting Gain progressive involvement in project coordination and site support Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience on heavy civil or marine construction projects Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Civil Technology Strong background or interest in estimating, cost control, and planning Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project , and Microsoft Office Familiarity with construction methods, sequencing, and safety standards A proactive mindset with a desire to grow into project coordination roles Skills & Attributes Exceptional attention to detail Document control & reporting Strong communication and collaboration skills Problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities Effective time management and organizational skills Passion for seeing projects through from start to fruition Competitive Compensation Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 per annum Company‑paid RRSP contributions and bonus eligibility Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
