Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including design, integration, testing, and commissioning), providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering activities. Responsibilities Lead the System Engineering strategy across all SCC subsystems, interfaces, and participating units. Own and update System Engineering plans. Ensure alignment of the SCC System with customer requirements and define scope with the customer for upcoming baselines. Drive system activities, manage technical dependencies, and resolve cross‑disciplinary issues. Oversee System analysis activities and ensure deliverables meet contractual and regulatory expectations. Manage and develop a team of System Engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Coordinate cross‑functional activities with other managers and technical experts. Ensure compliance with Alstom’s engineering processes, cyber‑security, safety‑case requirements, and regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration is an asset. Significant experience in engineering management on complex technical projects. Strong background in System Engineering, requirements management, and the overall V cycle. Experience leading multi‑disciplinary and multi‑site engineering teams. Experience with railway ATS systems and safety‑related systems with cyber‑security constraints. Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS or equivalent). Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities. Compensation The expected compensation for this role is $110,000 – $150,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
