Internship Fall 2026 – Environment, Health & Safety Co‑Op Student Internship dates: August 31 to December 18, 2026. Location: Mississauga, Ontario. Work: Monday‑Friday, exclusively on‑site with flexible hours. Day‑to‑day activities include working in an office and on the manufacturing plant floor as part of a small site‑specific Environment, Health & Safety team. Responsibilities involve: Supporting environmental and safety initiatives for the site, under the guidance of the Plant 22 EH&S team. Providing administrative support for training records and collaborating with the Training Coordinator. Assisting with the identification and implementation of best practices for waste, water, and energy reduction. Contributing to EH&S programs related to risk identification and mitigation, including ergonomics and chemical exposure. Leading projects focused on wastewater discharge compliance, worker chemical exposures, carbon footprint reduction, and other risk reduction initiatives. Developing business case documents for proposed capital projects, including data gathering, vendor communication, budget estimation, scheduling, and proposal writing. Maintaining accurate records management for all training courses in the plant. Communicating with plant employees, management, and production supervisors, and attending various committee meetings (sustainable factory, industrial hygiene, joint health and safety, change management). Qualifications: Eligible to work in Canada. Enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship. Available to work on‑site in the province where hired. Studying Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or Ergonomics. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with a commitment to EH&S and attention to detail for records management. Team player with strong initiative, ability to multi‑task and manage changing priorities. Salary range: 21.60 to 31.00 CAD (representative of all experience levels). The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances related to handling and transferring controlled goods.
