This role will be to support quality management ensuring that all aspects of the RNI QMS is followed and implemented on project sites and the RNI Fabrication Shops. Responsibilities Ensuring that all aspects of Radium’s Alberta QMS are followed and adhered to and understood Enforcing all aspects of ABSA Regulatory Requirements Verify that all site activities comply with Client and Regulatory Codes and Standards Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters Conducts an initial review of approved IFC drawings and specifications to create a familiarity and clear understanding of project quality requirements Conducts reviews of spool drawings prior to release to the shop or field for fabrication, to ensure all Client supporting drawings (P&IDs, LDTS, etc.) and specifications are followed Is familiar with all pertaining construction codes and industry practices Is well versed in the use of quality procedures, tools, and equipment Understands the required flow of construction activities to enable the necessary planned interaction of QC and associated examination and testing from contract to turnover Knows the sequence of events of a construction project to create and maintain a sound Quality Plan Aware of project turnover requirements of the Client and the RNI QMS as well as document control Willing and able to efficiently direct the project day-to-day activities of Junior Quality Representatives, if required Ensures project compliance to Codes and Standards as well as conformance to Client IFC drawings and Specifications Can create and understand a project ITP and can complete the applicable project quality documentation resulting from the testing required Coordinates 3rd party sub-contractors (NDE, PWHT, etc.) Able to communicate efficiently and technically to Client Quality Personnel and Project Managers and also coordination with the necessary Jurisdictional Authority Representatives when required by code, Client Specifications, or by RNI’s ITP (ASBA, CWB, etc.) Assists RNI’s QCM during project audits as required Is instrumental in the receiving and control of Project Material as well as the Turnover Documentation Able to manage the RFI log, write RFIs, and provide technical advice to Construction personnel Is able to document changes to the original project scope through marked up red-lined as-built drawings along with the day-to-day progression of the project through weld mapping/logging on drawings as required Understands and is able to create, manage, and execute hydrotesting packages from walkdown to reinstatement Oversees Project Sub-Contractor’s Quality through random project audits of their Quality Plan, ITPs, turnover documentation, and systems Possesses vast experience in visual inspection and Quality Assurance/Control Possesses recognized related accreditation and certifications in the Quality Inspection field Organization skills utilized ongoing with timely completion and filing of Quality Documentation Conducts or delegates visual inspection on 100% of welds completed. All welds shall be traceable to the inspector who visualled them Adds and incorporates lessons learned activities after a project is complete in the spirit of continuous improvement Fort McMurray, AB, Canada Location Job Type Full Time Work Experience and Required Qualifications Certified to CSA W178.2 Level 2 with ASME B31.3, CSA W47.1/W59 & CSA Z662 Endorsements Minimum 5 years Inspection and Quality Experience Relative technical diploma and/or trade certificate Working knowledge of ASME Code Sections II, V, VIII-1 and IX and asset Able to pass an Alcohol and Drug Test Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Exemplary professional verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Meticulous record-keeping skills Capable of working independently with minimal direction Working knowledge of Bluebeam and As-Builting REQUIRED Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office RADIUM NORTH INC is an Indigenous Company that is determined to be the contractor-of-choice in the markets that we serve.
