LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior QA Tester for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer. Work Location The successful candidate will be required to work remotely. Hybrid arrangements may be considered for candidates located in Ottawa or Toronto. Key Tasks Define and own end-to-end test strategies, plans, and approaches aligned with project milestones Ensure alignment with quality standards, governance, and risk controls Plan and coordinate system, integration, regression, and data validation testing Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases Implement and enhance test automation frameworks (API, UI, data-driven testing) Validate integrations between the SaaS application, internal platforms, and upstream/downstream systems Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects through resolution Collaborate closely with developers, vendors, and product owners to resolve issues Provide clear quality, risk, and readiness reporting to delivery leadership Validate credit data, decision rules, scoring outputs, and data lineage Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across environments Support testing of data migrations and parallel run scenarios where applicable Support release readiness, go-live validation, and post-deployment verification Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and tooling Ensure testing artifacts meet audit and documentation expectations Key Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing for enterprise systems Strong experience with test strategy and test plan development Proven experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments Hands‑on integration and API testing experience Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or similar) Demonstrated defect management and quality metrics experience Qualifications Experience testing data‑intensive and rules‑based systems Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments Experience in financial services, risk systems, or regulated environments Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Hands‑on integration and API testing experience Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Postman/REST API testing, and SQL for data validation Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or similar) Assets Demonstrated defect management and quality metrics experience Knowledge of end‑to‑end SDLC and CI/CD practices Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset Compensation Hourly Rate Negotiable.
