Materials Coordinator II Location: Calgary, AB Type: 1-year contract Rate: $42/h About the Role We are currently seeking a Materials Coordinator I I to support site maintenance and project operations in Calgary. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless coordination of materials across the supply chain—from ordering and inventory to delivery and repair—while acting as a key liaison between operations and procurement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities and a solid background in materials management. Key Responsibilities Coordinate end-to-end materials activities supporting maintenance and project requirements Act as the primary interface between the business unit and procurement teams Partner with planning, inventory, vendors, buyers, and maintenance teams to ensure timely material fulfillment Order raw materials and ensure accuracy, readiness, and availability upon delivery Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock levels Provide input on risk-based spare parts stocking strategies to optimize reliability and cost Assist with returns to stock or vendors, including credit processing and core management Support logistics coordination for repairable and returnable materials Execute system transactions and maintain accurate data within SAP Build strong cross-functional relationships and promote continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required Previous experience in materials coordination, supply chain, or a related field Strong knowledge of SAP material catalogs and search tools Understanding of how materials are utilized within plant operations Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Exceptional time management and organizational skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to influence stakeholders with and without formal authority What We’re Looking For Highly organized and detail-oriented professional Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Brunel connects specialists like you with world‑class opportunities across the globe.
