The Sr. Analyst, Global Logistics & Projects is responsible for the end-to-end efficiency of the global supply chain, balancing operational oversight of Customs, Inbound, and Outbound logistics with strategic process improvement. The position manages IT relationships during system integrations, optimizes transportation costs, makes strategic recommendations to improve overall processes, and ensures compliance across all legs of the product journey.Main Responsibilities Cross-Functional Strategy & SystemsManage transportation sources strategically to reduce the total cost of ownership for materials and services;Analyse carrier portfolio and suggest go-forward strategy;Entertain continuous improvement conversation with carriers, oversee refunds and claims, and undertake projects in partnership with our vendors;Own the Subject Matter Expert (SME) role on Global Logistics systems including GMT, Sigma, and PBi, leading testing, bug resolution, and system upgrades;Utilize Shipium, Techdinamics, Bamboo Rose, and INFOR NEXUS to access data source information as needed;Collaborate with internal departments (Distribution, Allocation, Operations, IT, and more) to respond to dynamic logistics requirements and constraints;Convert complex business transportation needs into viable, cost-effective solutions;Participate in the evaluation and selection of new software providers to drive continuous improvement;Act as the departmental resource during the ERP upgrade projects, establishing functional requirements with Managers and representing the department during implementation phases.BI & AnalyticsCreate, assess, and maintain monthly Transportation Dashboard, presenting key insights and recommendations regarding the carrier portfolio and rates;Analyse large data sets to provide meaningful insights and develop supply chain-wide strategies that support multi-level decision-making;Undertake the discovery of new tools (e.g., TMS);Create and socialize comprehensive dashboards with the business to track KPIs, including transit times, freight rates, and disposal costs;Oversee the publication of comprehensive training manuals for the team.Logistics Operations & ComplianceEnsure month-end alignment on spend with A/P and FP&A partners;Provide operational support for customs and traffic coordination during peak seasons or vacations;Work in tandem with Managers to develop new operational flows and document internal logistics processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field;5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain/logistics operational P&L analysis;Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required;Experience with Sigma AI is a key asset;Experience with logistics software (e.g., BambooRose, INFOR NEXUS, or Trade Stone) is valued;Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;CIFFA or CCS certification is considered an asset;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Ability to synthesize data for senior leadership;Capacity to perform in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.BenefitsA comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses;A group retirement savings program with employer matching;Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage that meets your needs;An employee discount at Garage and Dynamite;Exclusive private sample sales;A flexible vacation policy;And more!GDI has been repeatedly voted one of Montréal’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People.Our promise… No day will be like the last—we aim to be better today than we were yesterday.
