We're hiring a Plant Manager to lead operations at a precision metal machining facility in Chatham‑Kent, Ontario, part of a global manufacturer of process equipment and engineered technologies serving customers on four continents. This is a true leadership role with full operational ownership, a clear growth mandate (~25% capacity expansion), and the autonomy to shape the team, the culture, and the future of the site. Why This Role High visibility, high impact — you'll report directly to the VP of Manufacturing Operations and own the full plant. Build something — lead capital planning and grow the organization to support significant capacity expansion. Hands‑on leadership — small facility, big responsibility. You'll be on the floor, not behind a desk. Global backing, local agility — the resources of a multinational with the speed of a tight‑knit team. Stable, growing industry — serving animal feed, consumer food, renewable energy, advanced materials, and sustainable packaging markets. What You'll Do Own safe, efficient, and cost‑effective plant operations and drive consistent product quality and on‑time delivery. Lead and develop the team across production, maintenance, process engineering, quality, warehousing & shipping, and inventory control. Set plant objectives, KPIs, and operating targets — then deploy them through your team to deliver results. Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full regulatory compliance. Drive continuous improvement across EHS, quality, productivity, and profitability. Partner with sales, engineering, and sister facilities across North America to align on priorities and execution. Recruit, onboard, and develop talent — and represent the company in the local community. Support capital planning and build out the organizational structure to enable growth. What You Bring 7+ years of plant production and planning management experience, ideally in a job shop environment. Strong metal machining background — you understand materials flow, supply chain, and what it takes to run a precision manufacturing operation. MRP/ERP experience required; implementation experience is a plus. Proven track record in Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, Lean / Waste Elimination , and structured problem solving. Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience. A bias for action , comfort wearing many hats, and an analytical, metrics‑driven leadership style. Who You Are You're an assertive but respectful leader who builds trust quickly. You're energized by being on the shop floor, coaching your team, and solving real problems in real time. You hold yourself and your team to high standards — and you lead with integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to people. Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $115,000 – $145,000 CAD, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to lead and grow a key facility within a global organization Ready to Apply?
