What the Application Engineer does Support the technical execution of projects, from design to commissioning; Define equipment specifications and parameters according to customer requirements; Define system configurations, review component sizing, perform calculations, and develop technical solutions; Ensure the integration of various systems within the project scope; Adapt design concepts to the project in progress and participate in product development when necessary; Support all stakeholders involved before and after the design process (Projects, Drafting, Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning). The Application Engineer collaborates with Members of the Engineering team Product Line Managers Project Directors Drafting team Manufacturing Installation and Commissioning teams Travel to various sites across North America Number/Frequency of trips: 3–5 per year Duration of trips: 10–12 days Main tasks while traveling Take measurements on existing equipment requiring modification; Participate in meetings with clients. Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Advanced knowledge and use of spoken and written English (essential); Strong verbal and written communication skills; Autonomy, methodical and rigorous approach, customer satisfaction mindset; Ability to work in a team and under pressure; Strong technical, interpersonal, and negotiation problem‑solving skills; Project management skills with proven experience; Knowledge of the sawmill industry is a major asset; Stress tolerance and ability to manage multiple priorities.
