Responsibilities Provide guidance and training to the team in the preparation of Canadian and US individual tax returns Review Canadian and US individual income tax returns Day‑to‑day expatriate tax advice, including queries on items such as individual relocations, payroll benefit taxation and reporting Research income tax issues and review memoranda or clients’ letters in the area of executive compensation, global equity plans, policy design and other expatriate tax issues Work closely with the Partner in charge of the practice to develop and support the team Explore future business opportunities with partners across Canada with respect to their clients Engage in business development initiatives to further grow the practice Success Metrics You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspects of your work: Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration You understand your clients' industry, challenges, and opportunities; clients describe you as positive, professional, and delivering high‑quality work You identify, recommend, and focus on effective service delivery to your clients You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains, and attracts talent You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace You grow your expertise through learning and professional development Experience and Education You have your professional CPA designation You have 7 or more years of professional experience, part or all of which specializing in Expatriate Tax You have excellent verbal and written communications skills (French as well as English is an asset) You have the ability to collaborate with team members nationally You are interested in contributing to the training and development of team members Expected compensation: $125,000 to $175,000 Equal Opportunity Employment Everyone counts: We believe every employee should have the opportunity to participate and succeed.
