The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP). What is the project? The Ontario Line ("OL") is a fully integrated, stand‑alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel ("NC") project consists of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design‑build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract ("EGS") and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract ("PTUS"), with supporting Early Works. What is the Opportunity? The Quality Coordinator is responsible for understanding and applying the Construction Quality Management Plan, ensuring the quality management system is effectively established, implemented, and maintained in alignment with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role also drives strong quality practices, leads inspection activities, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence across the project. Responsibilities Conduct on‑site and off‑site quality inspections and witness testing activities to verify compliance with project specifications and Inspection & Test Plans. Monitor construction progress and workmanship to promptly identify and resolve quality issues. Oversee testing of materials and structures, such as concrete strength tests, soil compaction tests, and other relevant tests. Perform inspections on delivered materials and equipment to confirm conformity with approved submittals and quality standards. Ensure all construction activities follow the specified ITPs, including the identification and execution of hold and witness points. Maintain, review, and update comprehensive records of inspections, including dates, findings, test results, and corrective actions. Document and report any deviations or Non‑Conformances in materials, workmanship, or processes to the Quality Lead. Verify that corrective actions for identified Non‑Conformances are effectively implemented and closed. Check and verify the certifications, qualifications, and accreditations of workers, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure alignment with project requirements. Support field teams with immediate feedback and guidance on quality issues, ensuring swift rectification of minor defects before escalation. Collaborate with construction teams to promote best practices for quality assurance and compliance. Required Skills and Competencies Have the qualifications demonstrated by certificates of training and experience on transit construction projects. In‑depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting project specifications, drawings, and Inspection & Test Plans. Experience with quality inspection tools, testing methods, and documentation practices. Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, codes, and construction standards. Ability to identify, document, and manage Non‑Conformances and corrective actions. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
