OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant with a strong background in Capital Markets, particularly within Securitization and Fixed Income, to support the delivery of critical regulatory and payment-related initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners — including Front Office, Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams — to define requirements, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with business and regulatory objectives.This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable working with complex data, systems, and capital markets products.Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – minimum 2 days in office, Thursday collaboration day)Contract Length: 6 Months (Extension Possible)Hours: 9 AM–5 PM ESTPay: T4: $77 / IC: $88RESPONSIBILITIESElicit, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements through stakeholder engagement across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams.Translate business objectives into actionable deliverables, including reporting enhancements and application functionality.Conduct current state, target state, gap, and impact analysis to support solution design within securitization and liquidity initiatives.Develop and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with regulatory and business needs.Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation, testing, and delivery.Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by defining test cases, validating outcomes, and coordinating issue resolution.Identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and execution challenges across multiple concurrent initiatives.Investigate and resolve production or data-related issues, including file and reporting errors.Engage with downstream systems, external stakeholders, and integration partners to ensure end‑to‑end solution alignment.Prepare clear documentation and stakeholder communications, including status updates, findings, and recommendations.Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI initiatives).QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of progressive business analysis or consulting experience, preferably within Capital Markets.Proven experience delivering initiatives in the following domain:Capital Markets: Securitization, Mortgage‑Backed Securities (MBS), Fixed Income products, or liquidity/regulatory initiatives.Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall).Hands‑on experience with SQL/Oracle databases, including querying, table creation, and query optimization.Familiarity with data modelling, static data management, and data repositories.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and translate business needs into technical solutions.Experience supporting solution design, project planning, and stakeholder alignment.Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently engage stakeholders and present solutions.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly to change.Experience working with securitization tools or capital markets platforms.PreferredExperience with US Whole Loans business within Capital Markets.Experience in large enterprise or regulated financial institutions.Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and reporting (e.g., OSFI liquidity initiatives).Experience working with cross‑functional teams across front, middle, and back office functions.CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or Agile certification (Scrum Master, Product Owner) an asset.EducationPost‑secondary degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
