Your Role This role is within the Sodatone team that builds an analytics platform that uses AI and machine learning to identify and evaluate emerging music talent. It leverages data from streaming services, social media, and other sources to help our A&R teams identify emerging artists, track trends, and make informed decisions about talent scouting and artist development. Key Responsibilities Reimagine and implement the future of tech for the music industry Work as part of a dynamic and highly effective team Own features through full development lifecycle – design, creation, test, deployment, maintenance Implement maintainable solutions with high quality and reliability that can scale as our business grows and expands Learn and grow as a professional through close collaboration with your team members and engineering leaders, and by being … About You Have an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 4+ years of backend or full‑stack development experience Advent at creatively navigating the open web, using unconventional methods to reliably source, extract, and integrate disparate data Strong debugging skills with a solid grasp of testing, monitoring, and incident management Knowledge of AWS or other large cloud computing environments Strong understanding of developing APIs, backend services, databases, data pipelines, and data warehousing High sense of ownership and drive to deliver impact in a fast‑paced, evolving, ambiguous environment Drive to grow, learn, and master the craft of software development Tech stack consists of Ruby on Rails, Postgres, TimescaleDB, Snowflake, TypeScript, React, React Native, and AWS. Experience in this tech stack is a plus Compensation Base salary: $90,000 – $135,000 CAD. Eligible for a performance‑based annual bonus.
