Qualifications Post Secondary education or two years experience in Asset Management planning and asset life‑cycles, and accounting.Job Knowledge:Knowledge of LSCFN’s history, culture, demographics, goals and aspirations.Knowledge of a broad range of functions of all LSCFN departments and programs.Experience with asset management planning and implementationKnowledge of materials, methods, techniques, tools and equipment requirements for construction projects.Knowledge of vehicle, machinery, and heavy equipment maintenance and repair requirementsUnderstanding of accounting principles in relation to Asset ManagementUnderstanding of Asset Management accepted best practicesMathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do asset life‑cycle estimatesExperience with SAGE accounting software including asset accounting modules.Main Duties Reporting to the Capital Director, the Asset Manager is to assist in all aspects of the administrative, financial, capital and operations for LSCFN’s Capital records, infrastructure, roads, purchases of quality value including equipment, and all other assets and is responsible for the following duties:Record and maintain LSCFN Capital tangible asset acquisitions, betterments, and disposals using Sage Asset Accounting, in compliance with PSAB 3150;Retain records on maintenance and repairs of assets;Arrange for disposals through sale, landfill disposal, or other means;Field work: Record community infrastructure assets such as roads, water, sewer, LSCFN housing, including repairs and upgrades;Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures;Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system;Assist Capital Director with annual budget through identification of assets nearing end of life, requiring rehabilitation replacement;Work closely with Finance and Audit to ensure all assets are properly recorded;Create and follow maintenance schedule for LSCFN vehicle and equipment fleet;Manage LSCFN commercial and auto insurance policies;Other duties as required by the Director.#J-18808-Ljbffr
