Work Conditions Home Office (Monday to Thursday in office, Friday remote) – 40 hours per week. Some periodic site travel may be requested. Ability to obtain nuclear clearance (for nuclear assignments). Responsibilities Execute project controls activities including cost control, management of change, forecasting, and progressing on EPCM. Perform or delegate all project control tasks across the entire area of controls responsibility. Demonstrate mastery in at least one area of project controls, preferably cost (schedule also considered). Create and use the Project Controls Plan (PCP) for active projects. Ensure the PCP is followed by other project controls and supporting functional groups. Create and incorporate the WBS and CBS for project(s). Ensure the WBS and CBS properly account for and integrate into EPCM projects across contract types. Create and maintain the RACSI charts for controls. Set up and maintain the costing system; fund, de‑fund, and close cost codes timely. Customize and set up reporting templates such as progress reports, cost reports, and adhoc reports. Ensure accurate reporting, identify gaps, and communicate to appropriate stakeholder (e.g., Project Management). Create and maintain the project reporting calendar; ensure on‑time releases. Interface with all stakeholders to achieve project controls objectives. Train and mentor junior project controls personnel and vendors/contractors. Understand and apply change management processes; integrate changes into cost, schedule, and reporting. Apply scheduling knowledge, decomposing requirements into schedule data and linking to other systems (cost/resource forecasting). Create or modify progressing templates (scorecards) for discipline leads and other controllers. Experience with Power BI is an asset. Expedite resolution of issues; elevate to stakeholders before they become risks. Ensure accurate coding on daily timesheets; provide cost coding on procurement requisitions and subcontractor invoices. What You Will Bring Technical and Industry Experience 7+ years of project controls experience in design and EPC(M) projects. Cost control and progress tracking experience. Working knowledge of Ecosys, Primavera, and Power BI (asset). Experience generating project progress and cost reports. General knowledge of IT programs used in estimating and project controls. Ability to obtain nuclear clearance, with expectation that it can be obtained; employment may be contingent on clearance. Project controls experience with nuclear (all phases) is an asset. Computer literacy in all Microsoft Office products. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure on complex issues across multiple projects. Required Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Bachelor’s degree required. For applicants based in Ontario, the salary range is $118,000 to $130,000 CAD .
