Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features. At Total Life , we’re redefining what healthy aging looks like. We’ve built the nation’s leading behavioral-health and wellness platform for older adults — combining care, science, and technology to help people feel better, live longer, and stay connected. We’re scaling fast. And we need a Director of Finance, Data and Admin who’s ready to take full ownership of the financial engine that powers it all. This isn’t a controller role — it’s a builder role. You’ll own RCM, collections, costs, payroll, cash flow, and analytics — and turn them into a single, automated, intelligent system that drives better decisions every day. If you’re obsessed with data integrity, automation, and growth — and want to be the person who keeps a rocket ship balanced as it climbs — this is for you. The Role You’ll manage everything that moves money through the business — inflows, outflows, and the systems in between. From revenue cycle management (RCM) and collections to payroll, cost control, and financial analytics , you’ll bring precision, visibility, and accountability. You’ll build dashboards that leadership lives by, implement tech-driven processes that scale, and translate raw data into clear insights. You’ll be the person who knows the story behind every number — and the one designing how those numbers move tomorrow. What You’ll Do Own all financial operations: revenue cycle, billing, collections, expenses, payroll, and cash management. Design and manage dashboards: build live reports tracking revenue, AR, AP, margins, and performance KPIs across teams. Implement and improve systems: evaluate, automate, and integrate tools (QuickBooks, Gusto, HubSpot, Healthie, etc.) to make finance and RCM seamless. Oversee RCM performance: partner with clinical ops to accelerate claims, improve collections, and reduce denials. Run management accounting: prepare monthly reports that give leadership a real-time view of performance, efficiency, and runway. Forecast with precision: model revenue, expenses, and cash flow scenarios — and stress-test assumptions before anyone else does. Automate everything you can: use AI and low-code tools (Zapier, Notion AI, Airtable, etc.) to replace manual work with clean, scalable workflows. Collaborate cross-functionally: work with Ops, Marketing, and Engineering to connect data streams into one truth source. Challenge the status quo: spot inefficiencies, build better systems, and leave every process faster than you found it. Who You Are 4–8 years of experience in finance, operations, or data analytics within a high-growth or tech-driven company. Deep understanding of management accounting , cash flow modeling , and financial controls . Experience in RCM, healthcare billing, or multi-entity accounting is a huge plus. Data-driven and tool-obsessed: you love dashboards, SQL queries, and clean spreadsheets more than most people love coffee. Strong with Excel/Google Sheets , and comfortable with BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Airtable, Tableau, etc.). You’ve implemented or optimized automation workflows — Zapier, APIs, AI tools, or integrations that save hours and prevent errors. Thrive in intense, high-growth environments — you like the urgency, the autonomy, and the impact. Curious, analytical, and proactive — you find answers before questions get asked. Passionate about AI, tech, and data — not just as buzzwords, but as tools to drive performance. Why You’ll Love It Here You’ll be the owner of one of the most important functions in a rapidly growing company. You’ll work directly with leadership to build and automate the financial backbone of the business. You’ll operate in a fast, data-first, tech-driven culture where great ideas get implemented fast. You’ll have freedom to experiment, optimize, and improve — and get recognized for results. We are building AI tools, new products and automations each day and you can be at the center of the design for your department. We don't have any legacy systems or overhang. If you can dream it you can do it.
