Proactivity, flexibility, technical product expertise, and origination discipline are required to deliver value from prospecting and pitching through deal structuring and execution. As a key product partner, the VP interacts with a wide variety of internal stakeholders including industry heads and sector leads within CIB and partners across credit management, GM, and GTB. A collegial and team-oriented view of success is very important to allow the candidate to fit into the team. Having an entrepreneurial mindset is critical to manage through ambiguity and change associated with growing a business.**Requirements:**This role is suited to a detail-oriented individual with a client-centric focus, and a strong understanding of and demonstrated judgement related to credit structuring, execution, and risk. This candidate must be a subject matter expert in traditional Trade Finance (SBLCs/bank guarantees, export LCs, imports LCs, etc.) This candidate will have the ability to identify GCTF business opportunities and deliver mandates effectively. The successful candidate will be a strong advocate and trusted advisor to their clients, while balancing the requirements of GTB and the firm.**Job Responsibilities*** **Deal Origination & Structuring** + Responsible for end-to-end transaction lifecycle, including origination (due diligence and pitching), structuring, and execution of transactions and opportunities within assigned portfolio. + Lead origination efforts within assigned portfolio by identifying new opportunities to add new clients and increase our GCTF share of wallet. + Provides deal structuring expertise and prepares / oversees delivery of creative and timely term sheets and pitches. + Obtains credit concurrence and coordinates pricing approvals. + Arrange and engage in client calls and presentations. + Maintain an active pipeline of prospective new business. + Work closely with regional teams in the US, Toronto, London, Singapore, Montreal, and Vancouver.* **Client Engagement & Relationship Management** + Manage and deepen relationships with existing portfolio of clients through disciplined and dedicated coverage, serving as a trusted advisor and lead contact point for all GCTF matters. + Help clients navigate the organization; engage the relevant partners to assist in the resolution of client issues as necessary.* **Deal Execution** + Support and facilitate deal communication and client touchpoints (e.g., call reports) with the CIB relationship coverage team. + Assist with preparation of deal summaries and articulation of new deal opportunities. + Assist in the preparation of RAROC and pricing models. + Facilitate the negotiation of credit related documentation by engaging the relevant internal partners as appropriate, including GTB Credit Management, TDS Credit Management, and TD Legal.
