Arena Manager Job Summary We are seeking a Manager to oversee daily operations of the Northumberland Arena for the season. The ideal candidate will lead a team dedicated to ensuring a successful arena season, must have excellent time management skills, maintain high standards of customer satisfaction, and work towards a fully booked ice rental season. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for community, and a commitment to ensuring the ice‑rental season is successful. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the arena Manage ice rentals – booking and rescheduling Lead, motivate, and train staff Manage guest relations by addressing & resolving complaints to ensure a positive experience for all visitors Apply computer & social media skills Oversee cash handling procedures, including processing transactions accurately and maintaining daily ledgers Attend to tournaments and events on site Attend Board of Directors monthly meetings & present a report at the annual meeting Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for staff and guests Maintain good communication & positive relationships with user groups and the community Qualifications Knowledge of arena operations, equipment, and ice‑related sports is an asset Proven experience in management or a related customer service role is an asset Excellent leadership & communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff is an asset Experience with cash handling procedures and point‑of‑sale systems is an asset Ability to handle stressful situations professionally and efficiently (required) Benefits & Compensation Job Type: SeasonalContract Length: 7 monthsPay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour Casual dress On‑site parking Work Location Murray River, PE – On site #J-18808-Ljbffr
