Our client is looking for a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting for a 4–6-month opportunity.The Senior Manager Corporate Accounting is an integral part of the Corporate Accounting team who will provide leadership and support for the corporate accounting team deliverables related to the accuracy, transparency and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards. This requires technical accounting knowledge, superior business partnership skills, an acute analytical sense and strong attention to detail.About the OpportunityPreparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, notes disclosure for financial statements, MD&A, press releases, investor presentations, and the Annual Information Form (AIF).Completion of quarterly and annual impairment testingReview acquisitions and disposition agreements and assist with systems set up required for financial statement reportingReview complex entries as they relate to acquisitions and dispositionsPreparation and review of quarterly covenant compliance calculations and reportingReview and prepare separate audit legal entity financial statementsLiaise with external auditors and internal audit team to provide the documents needed for review and auditLiaise with operations finance and property managers to ensure proper understanding of results and transactions, while providing guidance over complex accounting items and other issuesCompletion of IFRS research and implementation of accounting policies in response to developments in the senior housing industryPrepare technical memoranda on corporate finance transactions and provide financial reporting support.Champion system enhancements, automation, and reporting best practices.Month end and quarter end corporate activities as assignedOther ad hoc activities as assignedAbout YouCPA designation8-10 years of experience in accounting preferredPublic company external reporting experienceStrong Knowledge of IFRSExperience with accounting software, specifically OneStream and YardiStrong technical and analytical skills as well as strong attention to detail and accuracyStrong technical knowledge of financial accounting consolidation rulesExcel proficiency is mandatoryAbility to manage and validate large amounts of dataHigh degree of integrity and professionalism.Excellent judgment and decision-making skillsEasily adapts to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environmentSuperior interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), a consultative and collaborative style, and the ability to participate effectively within a team.The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet defined deadlines in a large fast-paced work environmentA focus on continuous improvement and qualityEagerness to learnPay Rate $60/HourHow to Apply Click the “Apply Now” button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
