This role ensures that a project is completed on time and within budget. This position is required to work on location, which may be throughout Western Canada and to work in weather extremes. This position may be required to conduct work outside of city limits and is therefore required to maintain a valid driver’s license. Interacting with sub-contractors, project managers, owners, and consultants on a day-to-day basis is a requirement. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. Oversee day-to-day field activities. Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff. Manage QA/QC program Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance. Train new employees. Enforce policies and procedures Be a mentor and leader for Superintendents and Foreman, and actively participate in developing team culture and promoting Wright Construction culture and values All other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS A Valid Driver’s License is required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction is required Minimum 5 years of Construction Supervision experience is required with the ability to supervise a crew of 10 or more Strong project management and communications skills Ability to read construction documents Familiarity with regulatory construction standards Understanding and commitment to safety is required. Possession of a Journeyperson Carpenter ticket is preferred.
