Lead and deliver managed remote infrastructure services for customers, including requirements gathering, data collection, capacity planning, performance analysis, configuration, quality assurance, and technical risk assessments. Deliver technical support, identifying and resolving issues, owning incident, problem, and change management for assigned tasks. Hands‑on experience in IBM Power Systems PowerVM Virtualization, Virtual I/O Server technologies, storage virtualization, network virtualization, VSCSI, virtual fiber channel (NPIV), etc. Work effectively with customer cross‑functional teams composed of technical and sales staff, project management, and business stakeholders as evidenced by GHS business results and customer satisfaction. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations. Support patching customer environments during the business change window, including after hours. On‑call support may be required. Responsibilities Support and manage AIX operating system, VIOS, LPARs, storage and file systems, virtualization, and high availability cluster (PowerHA/HACMP). Support hardware such as IBM Power Systems and HMC. Support IBM Power Systems virtualization. Perform LPAR migrations between IBM servers. Utilize knowledge and experience with AIX OS, software, and hardware life cycle. Perform vulnerability management and patch management. Perform capacity and performance monitoring and management. Installation and configuration of latest version of HMC. AIX and Linux (RHEL and SLES) on IBM Power systems: installs, upgrades, and migration. Actively contribute within your team and GHS through tangible contributions to process development, quality improvements, operational efficiency, and other business improvement projects. Achieve and maintain advanced certifications in the products and technologies assigned to you. Demonstrate technical leadership through teaching, coaching, and support of other technical team members. Qualifications University degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent program, with 8+ years of relevant IT experience. 10+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM AIX administration. Strong expertise in IBM PowerVM virtualization, including LPAR/VIOS setup and management. In-depth experience with Hardware Management Console (HMC). Familiarity with IBM Power9/Power10 hardware architecture and lifecycle management. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage and NPIV zoning in virtualized environments. Experience in high‑availability and disaster recovery configurations. Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise change management practices. Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) on Power. Certified in Cloud Technologies is a plus. Proficiency in shell scripting (KSH, Bash, or Perl) is a plus. IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert – Power Systems with AIX is a plus.
