This seasonal position is on site at the Resort and works in shift rotations from April until October. A start date is required immediately. Shift work requires 10–21 working days and 4 non‑working days in each week, with scheduling flexibility during peak season. Water‑taxi transportation to and from Campbell River is provided for scheduled shifts. Staff must leave the resort on scheduled non‑working days and arrange further transportation and accommodation. Position Summary A Dining Room Supervisor at Sonora Resort will have a passion for excellence in guest service and a strong background in fine dining. The supervisor will lead a team of direct reports to ensure a world‑class fine dining experience for guests. Job Duties Set expectations and hold the team accountable for desired service behaviors. Manage reservations and floor plans. Greet and seat guests. Assist with floor management or expediting as needed. Edit, print and ensure menus are current. Assist with monthly inventory. Configure and report on POS system. Ensure all daily and weekly cleaning tasks are completed to standards. Maintain cleanliness of the dining room and stations. Remain knowledgeable of all regular and special menu items and daily changes. Read service tickets and deliver food to correct seat numbers. Assist bartenders with service and stocking duties. Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, bending, crouching and kneeling. Qualifications Five years of experience in fine dining service. One to two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a fine dining setting. High school diploma required; additional education or experience in hospitality, tourism or related fields is an asset. Experience with a POS system. Beginner WSET qualifications are considered an asset. Fluent in English; second language an asset. First Aid certificates are an asset. Valid serving it right number required. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
