Senior Systems Engineer/Systems Integration Leader Date:May 11, 2026Company:HatchRequisition ID:95011Job Category:InfrastructureHatch is a full‑service consultancy seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer/Systems Integration Leader to join our North American Infrastructure group in the Systems Integration and Assurance team in Vancouver, British Columbia.Reporting to the Director, Systems Integration & Assurance, the role involves leading systems engineering, integration, and assurance on large‑scale rail developments as part of Hatch’s global Systems Integration and Assurance practice.ResponsibilitiesLead project delivery of railway solutions.Provide technical design and implementation integration leadership.Interface with RAM, systems assurance, and overall program safety activities within the systems engineering lifecycle.Lead and guide staff and consultants to deliver high‑quality technical services.Manage lifecycle engineering activities, changes, client relations, and project management of systems components to ensure quality, client satisfaction and profitability.Assist in client pursuits, relationship building, technical practice development, and recruiting of staff in rail and rail systems areas.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering.Professional engineering (P.Eng.) license.10+ years of progressive rail systems engineering experience.Knowledge of US (FTA & FRA), CENELEC, and ISO rail delivery standards and practices.Experience delivering in both brown and green‑field rail environments, including staged migration from legacy systems.Thorough knowledge of systems engineering and systems integration in the railway environment.Detailed understanding of rail operations, stations, track, and civil aspects of the railway as they relate to integration of rail systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience training and developing staff and educating clients.Base salary range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually.At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
