Inventory Analyst Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Shift Details Shifts will vary throughout the week between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, with 1:00 PM–9:00 PM shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays. Rotational Saturdays are required, with a weekday off in lieu. Job Summary Birchwood is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join its Used Vehicle Services team. This role supports dealership operations through the appraisal and acquisition of used vehicles, while also driving key decisions related to pricing, reconditioning, merchandising, and inventory disposal. The Inventory Analyst is also responsible for developing processes and strategies to maximize ROI, while supporting ongoing initiatives across both the Used Vehicle Services and Business Analyst teams. In addition, the role serves as a resource for various business operations and plays a key part in identifying trends and uncovering opportunities across the Birchwood Automotive Group. Duties Analyze monthly financial results using financial analysis models and tools. Maintain & develop key reports to assess accuracy & effectiveness in KPI reporting by utilizing Excel & analytics software including Power BI. Assist in inventory risk assessment and mitigation activities. Conduct timely and accurate appraisals of incoming used vehicles using retail and wholesale market data. Assess vehicle condition and market positioning to recommend pricing, reconditioning, and acquisition strategies that maximize resale value and ROI. Complete merchandising for incoming inventory, including writing accurate vehicle descriptions, highlighting key features, and ensuring proper online listing presentation and disclosures. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in business or related field highly preferred. Creative ability to conceptualize and articulate new approaches and solutions. Demonstrates an understanding of Return on Investment, micro‑economics and business acumen. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as you will be dealing with many stakeholders within the industry. Strong analytical skills with proven ability to develop forecasting strategies. Thrive in a collaborative environment where team support is encouraged. A commitment to learning and professional development. Comfortable leveraging technology for most day-to-day functions. A valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to work is required.
